Review : This seven-storied building is a real complex. It offers various services and atmosphere depending on where you happen to be inside. The basement has several pool tables as well as a dance floor. The floor above has a fast-food bar and a small convenience store. This is followed by three storeys of seats and tables. Then, the two last storeys include both a hairdressing salon and a newly renovated dance floor.

The bar also has two terraces, one on the top of the building, which overhangs Ste-Catherine Street and gives an amazing outlook onto Montréal’s skyscrapers. The second terrace is cosier and is heated with electric heaters, which postpone the end of the terrace season. Besides, when you cross that terrace, it leads you to nothing less than the Drugstore’s travel agency!

As for the music, it is usually a satellite radio set that plays the latest top of the charts. However, there’s a DJ on the weekend to play your requests. Prices in general are average(ish), you reckon at $4.00 a bottled local beer. However, there are specials to be checked out, such as the happy hours. The Drugstore offers a wide range of local and imported beers, which are served in different sizes such as glasses, pints, bottles, large skittle-shaped bottles, or small/large pitchers.
