Sports in Montreal

Sports (for doing not watching... if you are looking for professional sports team, check out the entertainment section instead) :
  • Summer : there's swimming (indoor and outdoor - at Ile Ste-Hélène for outdoor or at the Olympic stadium's pool for indoor), tennis (at Lafontaine park or Jeanne-Mance park both in the Plateau Mont-Royal districts), golf, bicycle (there are plenty of bike paths and you can rent bicycles), roller blading, ice skating! (yes even during the summer at the 1000 La Gauchetière building downtown), etc.
  • Winter : cross-country skiing (ile Ste-Hélène, Mont-Royal park, Maisonneuve park), ice skating (the rinks at the Bonsecour bassin in the old port, Lafontaine park and Mont-Royal park are the nicest), alpine skiing, snow-shoeing, slides (mont-royal park) and the "Fetes des neiges" (show fest) in February. I'll get more precise information for you soon.
