Rainy Montreal

If it is raining or there's bad weather and you don't have an umbrella or you just don't want to walk outside, here's a couple of suggestions of activities you can do inside :
  • An underground walking tour, there are two main underground "districts"where you can take a long walk without ever having to breathe the outside air. The longest walk takes you from the Windsor train station (Bonaventure metro station) to The Bay department store (McGill metro station).
  • What about a movie? You certainly have the choice of movie you can see (especially if you can understand french). For a complete listing of movie theaters, check out the entertainment section. Or what about watching television? I know you didn't come all the way to Montreal to watch TV but if it's late and you don't feel like going out, why not? Here's a listing of television stations in Montreal.
  • There are also museums directly connected to a metro station, like the Musée d'art contemporain. The Biodôme de Montréal is also very close to a station.
  • You can visit the Olympic stadium and take an elevator ride up the tower. For more information, check out the Olympic park's web site.
