Metric system

In Quebec (and the rest of Canada) we use the metric system. Distances are in kilometers (km), speeds are in kilometers per hour (km/hr), weights are in kilograms (kg) or grams (1000 g = 1kg) and volumes are in litres (l). Temperature is in Celcius. Here's a simple conversion table.

1 km = 0.6214 mile (2/3) 1 mile = 1.6093 km
1 gram= 0.0353 oz 1 ounce [oz] = 28.35 g
1 Kilogram = 2.2046 lb 1 pound [LB] = 0.4536 kg
1 litre = 16 fl oz.

Here's a temperature conversion table. There is no linear relation between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

30c = 86F
15c = 59F
0c = 32F
-15c = 5F
-30c = -22F
