I am a student, should I bring a student ID card?

Yes! A lot of museums have special rates for students. Even some stores and restaurants have rebates, they are usually located around universities and CEGEP (colleges).

Unfortunately, you won't get rebates for the public transit since you would need a special student ID card for the bus and metro which is only available for Montreal residents.

If you plan to go to a youth hostel or college dorm, they also have rebates for students (there's also a Hostelling International membership card you will need to have in some cases). Check out the Hotel, motels, b&b and dorms section for links to youth hostels.
