Should I bring my bicycle or rollerblades?

Yes! The best way to visit some neighborhoods (Plateau Mont-Royal, Ile Ste-Helene and Notre-Dame, for example) is by bike or roller blades. There are miles and miles (or kilometers and kilometers) of bike paths you can use to get around. But if you can't bring your bike with you, you can rent one here, or you can take advantage of Montreal's public bicycle sharing system, BIXI .

For more information on bicycling in general in Montreal and Quebec, please visit the web site of Velo-Quebec , where you can also find a free PDF map of Montreal's bike paths .
