In one line : Grand restaurant a petit prix

In one line : inexpensive dinner specials.
Review : This light and colorful restaurant has one very interesting attribute : its $12 table d'hôte (taxes included!). This table d'hôte is composed of an entree (soup or salad... but since the main dishes come with a large amount of lettuce you should choose the non-lettuce entree unless you really really love lettuce...), a main dish (there are many fish, meat or vegetarian choices), a dessert and coffee or tea. I took the pucapuca salad as an entree, quite varied (lettuce, red sweet peppers, corn, etc) but it had too much vinegar. Then I tried the spicy sausage served with sauted potato, red beans and chickpea salad and lettuce (good, not really more to say about the main dish). The dessert was a cake with a ango/papaya/exotic fruit sauce, very refreshing after the spicy sausage. The food in general is simple but good, nothing really spectacular... but it has a great quality/price ratio. The service is spotty, I had no problem being served quickly but other customers that came in later had to get up and get their own menus since there was no one around. P.S. The lunch's table d'hote is only 8$ for the same choices.
