In one line : good basic french bistro.
Review : Altough not officially part of the city Montreal (Outremont is on the other side of Hutchison street), it is still considered to be part of Outremont, it certainly has the Outremont style but not the Outremont prices. The Vaudeville is an inexpensive bistro, so don't look for haute french cuisine, just good basic french bistro food. They have daily lunch and dinner specials, including a $4.95 burger, fries and beer special and a $9.95 mussels special. The menu is pretty standard and the decor is very nice and clean. By the way, they close every year in August for their vacation, so call before to check if they are open.
I have only eaten there and I was pleased with the meal, nothing great but everything was fresh (in this case salmon steak) and appetizing. Nothing great but certainly good enough.
