En une phrase : live music and hot food.
Critique : The particularly interesting thing about this restaurant is the indoor terrasse and sometimes they have live south american music. It has (or had?) the same owners as Nega Fulo, so it should have been as good. But it was not as interesting and certainly more expensive than Nega Fulo. I tried the evening special : an entree of brazilian sausage (somewhat spicy bite-size sausage on excellent manioc flour and a nice salad), a main dish of alligator (which strangely tasted and looked like beef, so if you are thinking of something exotic, I'd go for something else less expensive... it was the first time I tasted alligator so I can't compare but I expected the meat to be white and have a different taste than anything else but it was dark red/brown and tasted exactly like beef except for the texture which was slightly more "stringy"). The alligator was served with white rice and beans. The dessert was an excellent creme brulee and there was a choice of tea, coffee and infusions. It came to $30.00 for the whole meal which is expensive considering that there were no surprises but I guess it could be worth it if a live band had played.
