Also communly known as the old seminary and built in 1685, it is the oldest building to still stand in Montreal.
This building reminds us of old seminaries in France, here is how the interior of the building is organized : a first floor, then two other floors and a mansard roof. One of the wings of this building has been removed in 1850.
On the exterior of the building you can notice a clock, it was the first public clock at the times in Montreal. This clock underwent a lot of changes over the years, it was repared many times and in 1966 the mechanism was changed, it became an electric clock.
