Place d'Armes
Description | Neighbourhood : Old Montreal Type : Park or cemetery Year of construction : N/A Style : N/A Best : NA
The Place d'Armes is interesting because of the surrounding buildings : the Notre-Dame basilica and the St-Sulpice seminary to the south, the New York life insurance building to the east and the Bank of Montreal building to the south.
There's also a statue of Sieur Paul Chomedey de Maisonneuve in the middle of the square, sometimes at night when the spotlight is on, its shadow looms over the Bank of Montreal building.
