Ice skating at the Bassin Bonsecour (Old Port)
Description | Neighbourhood : Old Montreal Type : Sport, Family Season : Winter Best : Yes
There's a large outdoor ice skating rink with music and special ligthing (at night of course) and a place where you can change into your skates and keep warm. This rink is opened all winter long thanks for the refrigerated pipes that run underneath the ice, one could think it's not necessary since it's cold here in winter but there are times when the temperature rises above freezing temperatures which wrecks the "natural" ice rinks.
