En une phrase : not as good as it use to be.
Critique : It's (or was) one of my favorite indian restaurant since it's inexpensive and quite good. There's no surprises on the menu (or dishes that you can't find anywhere else) but there are daily specials (and the $5.00 lunch special that you can also find at most other indian restaurants) and sampling menus. I'm still not sure why I keep going there, it's probably a mix of the service and good dishes and the whole ambiance. N.B. The restaurant was in the list of closed restaurants when in fact it had just moved a couple of doors down on the other side of the street. I have unfortunaly visited the restaurant after the move and it tasted like they forgot to bring the spices over from the old restaurant. I tried the evening special : seehk kabab with didn't taste like much and onion bhaji which I never got but it was mentionned on the menu as part of the special, the main dish was a combo of various dishes all of them were bland. So I was extremely disappointed and considering the large number of excellent indian restaurants in town (none of them are on St-Denis street between Sherbrooke and Ste-Catherine), I would go elsewhere.
