In one line : considered to serve to best smoked meat in town.
Review : Schwartz is considered by many (locals, tourists and smoked meat experts) as the best smoked meat (no it's not corned beef, nor is it pastrami) in the world. It's even sold in Tokyo (it's known there as "Montreal smoked meat") and some people with a lot of money to spend have it delivered by Fed-ex... But other people say the the service is very rude and that's it's not a place where you can take your time to eat. The usual order is a smoked meat sandwich, fries and a dill with Cott black cherry cola (according to the "experts" and some restaurant guides), but since it has become sort of a stereotypical order, your should order what you want and don't care about tradition.<br> I have eaten at Schwartz about twice (I waited about 10 years after moving to the city until going there) and yes, it's great smoked meat and no, the service is not that bad. But, in all fairness, the smoked meat across the stree at The Main is as good (but the service isn't great there either) and there are no lineups, unlike Schwartz. So it's a tossup, go to Schwartz if you want to say you ate there or go to The Main if you don't want to wait too long.
