In one line : I recall...
Review : Zorba's had a decadent Tzatziki so thick and rich...it's all I ever think about!!! But have yet to find anything remotely close to it here in Toronto.

In one line : best souvlaki in town?
Review : There's a little debate about which place serve the best souvlaki in town. Some say Arahova (which is also on St-Viateur but closer to Parc ave.), but there's a faction that says "Zorba!"... and I would tend to agree with the latter. This is really a greek greasy spoon, don't look for real traditional greek food but it's still a nice place with a comfortable barn decor (the walls are covered with what looks like old wood planks). The menu basically consists of different souvlaki combinations. I tried the souvlaki and chicken souvlaki combo. It started with a "minestrone" soup, a little greasy and the pasta at the bottom was definitely overcooked... Then came the main dish : an excellent souvlaki brochette - juicy and tender (better than Arahova), a good enough ceasar salad, rice and fries... but the fries were ordinary (where are those big greek fries?). The downside was the chicken brochette, it was too salty. But the meal is more complete than at Arahova (they bring bread and the plates come fully loaded). All that for $8.95 before taxes and tips!
