Internet access

If you want to check your e-mail while you are here and you don't have a portable with you, there are a lot of places where you can have access to the 'net. There are obviously a couple of Internet cafes around but there's also free access at some libraries. There are also many copy places and now hotels that offer internet access. For free Internet access, there's the UQAM's science library downtown in the President-Kennedy building (corner of Jeanne-Mance, Place-des-Arts metro station) or at the main library on the main campus (Berri-UQAM metro station in the Latin quarter), but it's reserved for students so if they ask if you are a student there, then you are on your own. N.B. If you want to check your e-mail from any computer, remember to write down your POP server's address and password.
